Update a foxpro table (.dbf file) using client side coding in DHTML?

can some one explain me, how to update foxpro table (.dbf file) using clien side coading in DHTML or ay client side code like java?

This is not possible with JavaScript. You can use Ajax to let a server-side script update the database - see this link.

Acoder, I have reposted my Question with details.. pls see the situation.. I have NO server at background.. and deploying the (.exe or .fxp/.app )application is not possible.

In that case, you will need to use something like ActiveX/JScript which would only work in IE. If this is for personal use/intranet use/in a controlled user environment, then it should be ok.

its a controlled user envirnment
where i can force use of IE
pls guide, what exactly I have to do? some sample code will be appreciated...

You could use JScript, e.g. see this link - don't know how well it works.
